It is also active in Zambia, Mozambique, Uganda and Tanzania. Since May 2025 I am a member of the board but my involvement with FTT dates back to 2011.<\/p>\n<p>FTT-certified businesses use the FTT label as a way of signifying their <b>commitment to fair and responsible tourism:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fair wages and working conditions<\/li>\n<li>fair purchasing and operations<\/li>\n<li>equitable distribution of benefits<\/li>\n<li>respect for human rights, culture and the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FTT-certified businesses go through an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairtradetourism.org\/public\/assets\/pdfs\/FTT_How-it-Works_2025.pdf\">independent\u00a0audit process<\/a> every 3 years. The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairtradetourism.org\/public\/assets\/pdfs\/FTTStandardPublic_Sep25.pdf\"> FTT criteria<\/a> are summarised in a downloadable pdf.
